ABOUT THE EVENT – The Walter & Alpha Blackburn Scholarship Fund has traditionally presented the Men of Substance and Style Fashion Extravaganza in tribute to Walter Blackburn and ALL men and women who proudly exemplify that ideal.  This year will be no different. ABOUT THE SHOW – The 18th Annual Fashion Extravaganza will feature the incomparable fashion authority and gifted Fashion Color Commentator, MS. WILLIE RAY of Chicago, Illinois.

PROTÉGÉ AWARD

– The 2023 Walter Blackburn Protégé Awardees:  Larnell and Jarnell Burks. The Walter Blackburn Protégé Award is presented to individuals who have had a distinguished career in dedication to family, community and professional excellence. Protégé Sponsorships are available for $2,000 and include a table of 8 and special recognition throughout the evening. SHOP SMART – A select array of vendors, including hand crafted fashion jewelry and other specialty fashion items, will be available for purchase as the perfect complement to collections from Mamadou “Ben” Diallo and Alphonso Wright, Elan Furs, and the 2023 Collection by Indianapolis’ Premiere designer, Alpha Blackburn. VIP CONCIERGE – The Walter & Alpha Blackburn VIP Concierge provides our guests with first class service.  VIP guests this year include such distinguished patrons as Ms. Ann Stack, Dr. Robert Bowen, Mr. Mamon Powers, III and Congressman André D. Carson THE MAIN EVENT – Master of Ceremony is DAVID ROSE, Co-Founder of the Walter Blackburn Scholarship Fund.   The 2023 Blackburn Scholar and Book Award Honorees will be introduced during the program. THE SHOW – Doors open at 4:00 PM for cocktails, networking, shopping and LIVE! entertainment by The Carl Hines Trio.  Dinner for ticketed patrons begins at 5:00 PM.  VIP dinner tickets are $150 each, $1,000 for a table of 4 and $1,500 for a table of 8.
